Quartzelec invests in five STEM Days across the UK, helping young people explore real‑world engineering and build confidence in STEM subjects
7 May 2026
This year, Quartzelec funded a series of five STEM Days delivered by The Smallpeice Trust, reaching students across the UK and giving them the chance to experience engineering in a hands on, inspiring way.
STEM education is vital for developing the next generation of problem solvers, innovators, and critical thinkers. By giving young people early access to real engineering challenges, we help spark curiosity, build confidence, and open pathways into future careers that will shape tomorrow’s industries.
Our 2026 “Wind Turbine Challenge” programme reached students at Ashlawn School in Rugby, Cardinal Newman School in Warrington, Holy Cross High School in Hamilton, St Joseph’s School in Wrexham and Kettlethorpe High School in Wakefield, each taking part in engineering challenges designed to build problem solving skills, teamwork and confidence.
We’re proud to support opportunities that help young people explore STEM subjects in a meaningful way and hope these sessions encourage them to keep asking questions, keep experimenting and keep imagining where engineering could take them.
