Coil Operator - Quartzcoil (Afternoons)


Due to an increase in workload, we are currently looking for a afternoon Coil Operator (Monday to Thursday) to join our QuartzCoil business in Rugby on a full-time basis. 

Shifts will be scheduled for the afternoon (Monday to Thursday inclusive), and a 25% shift premium will be applied to all basic hours.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountability

  • Operating and monitoring machinery to manufacture coils in accordance with customer specifications
  • Setting up machines to initiate a production cycle and creating first-off samples for inspection
  • Performing regular machine maintenance, including cleaning
  • Testing and inspecting products to ensure compliance with standards
  • Operating material handling equipment to move materials and products
  • Collaborating effectively with team members
  • Maintaining a clean and organised workspace
  • Conducting quick changeovers between projects
  • Setting up projects and adhering to company procedures to ensure consistently high quality
  • Being mindful of production targets that need to be achieved
  • Actively working to minimize waste wherever possible

Qualifications & Experience

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Demonstrate experience in reading engineering drawings and work instruction
  • Ideally have previous experience within the Electrical Engineering industry, application of hand insulation or coil manufacturing would be beneficial but not essential as training will be given
  • Have a good level of numeracy skill and measurement skill plus experience using micrometre, Vernier calliper and go no go gauge
  • Be able to work on own initiative or part of a team
  • Show drive, enthusiasm, and a willingness to succeed
