LV Jointing Supervisor


We are looking for an LV Jointing Supervisor in our Utilities business based in Liverpool responsible for the day-to-day delivery of out LV Jointing work streams.

As the LV Jointing Supervisor, you will have the responsibility for ensuring the project is planned, managed, financially controlled and all stakeholders are involved, communicated with, progress is evaluated, changes are implemented, and reports submitted as the needs of the project require.

An integral part of the role will be to manage a team delivering on existing framework contracts for various DNO and private clients.

Key Responsibilities & Accountability

Reporting to a Contracts Manager, but with significant on site responsibilities, these opportunities will require you to be:

  • Working as part of the management team to achieve the overall objectives of the Profit Centre and Business Unit by driving high standards of safety, work and continuous improvement in process and quality of operations
  • Effective management of all operational requirements and programming to ensure best practice and continuity including responsibility of operational resource levels
  • Ensure compliance with all Company Policies. Particular attention is drawn to the requirement to manage operational delivery in accordance with the Companies Safety Rules
  • Develop relationships with existing clients
  • Improve efficiency to increase project performance and profitability
  • Manage operational workforce of various disciplines and the management and control of sub-contractors i.e., builder works, joinery works, civil works, asbestos works, etc
  • Ensure that the work is adequately instructed and communicated to the workforce, as well as continuously evaluated and reported back to the client
  • Manage Health & Safety for the site and ensure standards are maintained, works are carried out safely and that reasonable and practical measures are taken to maintain the safety of all involved
  • Assisting the Contracts Manager with any other duties as and when required

 

Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes

  • LV experience would be preferred
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a passion and interest in serving customers and exceeding expectations
  • Interpersonal skills at all organisational levels, with the ability to motivate people and engender a culture of team working to achieve the aims of the business
  • Commercial knowledge preferred
  • The ability to work under pressure
