Quality Inspector


TS Metals are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our growing manufacturing team in Rugby. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining high quality standards across a variety of precision-engineered products, including laser-cut components, machined parts and fabrications.

You will be responsible for ensuring all products meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and ISO 9001:2015 standards, contributing directly to the continued success and reputation of our business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out patrol and final inspections of laser-cut parts, machined components and fabrications
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and quality specifications
  • Ensure all products meet internal quality standards and customer requirements
  • Record inspection results and maintain accurate documentation of materials received
  • Conduct routine and random checks on in-process and finished products prior to dispatch
  • Identify and report non-conformities to the Workshop Manager and Quality Manager
  • Use inspection tools such as verniers, micrometers and gauges to verify dimensions
  • Produce and maintain quality reports using Microsoft Word, Excel or other systems
  • Support and adhere to procedures in line with ISO 9001:2015

 

Your skills and experiences:

  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a structured and methodical approach
  • Experience investigating quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Confident communicating with customers and suppliers regarding quality matters
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive company vehicles when required
  • Comfortable using computer systems (training provided for Unit 4 system)
