We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our dynamic team in the Philippines. Reporting directly to the Business Manager, this role will be instrumental in driving sales growth, managing key customer accounts, and ensuring the continued success of Quartzelec’s products and services in the region.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales within the energy or electrical equipment sector and possess a proven track record of building successful client relationships.
Key Responsibilities & Accountability
- Sales Growth & Account Management: Maximize sales of Quartzelec products and services by managing key accounts and directly engaging with customers. Collaborate with the Quartzelec operations team to ensure seamless service delivery
- Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and review sales plans aligned with business objectives to drive consistent growth and profitability in the assigned territory
- Target Achievement: Ensure sales targets are met consistently, in alignment with profit and loss (P&L) expectations. Regularly review performance and adjust strategies as needed
- Customer Engagement: Actively promote Quartzelec’s products through regular customer visits, supporting sales channels, and attending relevant exhibitions
- Key Account Oversight: Take responsibility for managing and growing allocated Key Accounts. Foster long-term, sustainable relationships with existing customers
- Market Insights & Opportunity Tracking: Monitor competition and track market opportunities to inform product development and market strategies, working closely with the Country Manager
- Technical & Commercial Coordination: Manage customer inquiries, quotations, and contract reviews in collaboration with Quartzelec’s internal teams, ensuring alignment with business standards
- Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasts and timely business trip feedback through detailed visit reports
- Debt Recovery & Invoicing: Support debt recovery efforts, ensuring that invoicing is aligned with P&L objectives and that accruals are minimized
Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes
We invite applications from individuals who possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant qualification within the Electrical/Electronic discipline. Candidates with demonstrable industry experience in partial discharge will also be considered
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the energy sector, with specific expertise in electrical rotating equipment, condition monitoring, and established relationships with customers, EPCs, and OEMs
- Sales Expertise: Proven track record of executing growth strategies and successfully managing sales operations
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, or sensing technologies in the energy industry
- Communication Skills: Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential
- Travel & Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently on both local and national levels
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels
- Commercial Acumen: Experience in making business decisions that are aligned with company goals and profit margins
- Organizational Ability: Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
